Lucy Smith’s practice is primarily in sculpture and print.
Lucy was inspired by the University of Dundee Global Health Challenge 2017 project, in which she participated, keen to investigate the idea that creativity and imagination can influence successful health and educational outcomes- the physicality of making giving rise to idea generation, positive communication and confidence building through the language of art.
Process-led, Lucy’s work has explored bronze, wood and print, allowing the materials to lead the development of possibilities within each material, with final outcomes in abstract form.
